The Winners of the 2020 Aerial Photography Awards Provide Unique Perspectives From The Sky

The first edition of the Aerial Photography Awards left its mark with a fantastic array of winners.

A jury narrowed down thousands of photographs from 65 countries to 106 winners in 22 categories like Abstract, Architecture, Daily life, Sports, Travel, and Wildlife. Using drones, helicopters, kites, balloons, and airplanes, these photographers captured unique views of our planet.

Sebastien Nagy from Belgium won the Aerial Photographer of the Year Award and First Place in many other categories. This strong showing is even more surprising considering that this was the first time he’d ever participated in a photography contest.

Let’s take a look at some of the winners.

First place, Cityscapes. “Spanish Rainbow” by Sebastien Nagy.

First place, Patterns. “Umbrella Crossing” by Daniel Bonte.
